Coaching is unlocking a person’s potential to maximise their own performance. Helping them to learn rather than teaching them. It’s a partnership between coach and client, to help a person change in the way they wish and helping them go in the direction they want to go. A coach offers support, a different perspective and accountability.

It isn’t about someone teaching you how to live your life. No one can do that, you are by far the world’s #1 expert on it. But even an expert has blind spots. That’s where I come in. I’m trained to help you think differently and guide you in the right direction.

Mentoring is getting general guidance from someone who’s walked the walk. A therapist is someone who supports you to heal your past. And coaching is a method for creating a new and ambitious future.

A life coach…who’s gay! Look, gay men aren’t some magical race where we only have gay problems that nobody else does. We have the same problems that other people have with confidence, self-esteem, resilience etc, but there’s a specific gay experience with things like accepting who you are and living authentically. Those can be more of a struggle for gay men and impact the other things. So, that’s where the gay life coaching comes in.

This is for you if:

  • You’re a gay man who feels like he’s holding back
  • You’re holding onto people and situations that are making you unhappy
  • You struggle with self-belief and feeling like you’re good enough

  • You’re not open to learning, evolving your thinking, or being coached to do things
  • You’re looking for a quick-fix solution – you’ll see noticeable changes from your first session but you need to focus for the duration of the program to see the best results
  • You have zero time in your schedule to dedicate to yourself – if you’re totally swamped right now leave this for another time
  • You’re not ready to take action – if you want someone to wave a magic wand I’m not that person, YOU are responsible for change

I always kick-off with a complimentary Discovery Session. In this 40 minute session we’ll discuss what you’re looking to achieve from coaching and I’ll ask you some questions to find out what this means to you. If we click and you’re committed we can get started. Book a call.

Each session runs for around an hour. We’ll reflect on what’s going well and any challenges you’re facing, before spending the bulk of the session honing in on particular focus areas for you with a range of proven activities and techniques. I’ll be guiding the sessions but you’ll be doing all the work.

Sure do! At the end of each session we’ll figure out the action steps you’ll be taking before the next one. These could be based on what we’ve discussed in the session, or they could be the continuation of previous ones we’ve set. Change happens by taking action, so we’re looking to build on the momentum we’ve created each week to get you the results you want.
